Festival Welcome & Morning Warm-Up

Transformation begins here!  More Details to come…

Yoga Buffet

Back by Popular Demand!  Your opportunity to try different styles of yoga as well as meet local teachers from surrounding yoga studios.  You will have the opportunity to choose of the 6 30-minute classes to sample.  Here’s the Yoga Buffet line up…

Celebrate and get your groove on with  Joanne Keane for Journey Dance.
Yoga is to everlastingly dance the dance of oneness.  The JourneyDance™ Flow leads participants on a ritual journey of physical and emotional transformation. Through breath, sweat, and expression, you gain a palpable experience of yourself as pure powerful joanne-keaneenergy.

JoJo is inspired to help people harness their full power and potential.  She is a Shamanic Energy Healer, Yoga teacher and JourneyDancer.  She has studied extensively for the past 25 years in the magic and science of harnessing the power of the Universe to shift the Mind, Brain, Body and Behaviors.  Learn More

Rob Farella will be offering a restorative Yin Yoga.  This calming practice focuses on postures that lengthen the muscles surrounding the hips, pelvis, and lower back.  Supported postures are held for 3-5 minutes per side in this intentionally slow paced, deep practice.  Benefits include slowing down the mind, lowering heart rate & blood pressure, easing joint & back pain, and promoting healing, rejuvenation & better sleep.  All levels are welcome.

Rob, E-RYT 200, YACEP, began his exploration with yoga in 2003.  It only took a year until he developed a “serious” relationship with his yoga practice and in 2007 he began teaching, completing his first teachers’ training at Element Yoga with Bernadette Birney in the Anusara Style. He has also trained with Ross Rayburn, Sadi Nardini, Todd Norian, Sally Kempton, Karen Pierce and various other masterful teachers. He continues to pursue education in yoga and the meditation arts. This ongoing process of learning is what provides the fresh insights that inspire his teaching.

Find out what an Alignment-based yoga class is with Monica DeBenedet.

If you like a challenge, you might enjoy Arm Balances with Jess Rockwell.

For active agers, those who have limited mobility or if you just want to check out how much fun a Chair Yoga class is, you’ll find Eileen Bryne in the Senior Center.

And if you’ve never tried Yoga Nidra, you’ll want to experience this deep form of yogic “sleep” with Twink.

Morning Community Class

Felicia Tomasko

Join us for a vigorous morning session.  More on Felicia here.

Kid’s Yoga & Group Art Project

While you enjoy the community class, your children can participate in a Kid’s Yoga Class with Denise Nobile or get creative with Paula Brinkman as a group in making a heart canvas.

Vendor Village

If you don’t want to participate in the community class, take a stroll through our vendor village where you will find food, live music and more.  Everything you could ask for from conscious companies.  Shop and support our local vendors.  The market is open to the general public as well as NYF attendees.

Enjoy a bite to eat from one of our local food vendors – Aquarian Catering  or eat at the Community Center Better Day Cafe.

Listen to live music with HannaH’s Field.  They bring love, spirit and a fresh flavor with their Conscious Roots music.  In a time where connections are made with clicks & tweets, their songs encourage people to lead with their hearts and love one another.  There will also be a drum circle and audience participation is encouraged!

Stroll around and get a sneak a peak at the Silent Auction items.  For more detail about our vendors, here’s a list of our Supporters. We are grateful to showcase these gifts.

You will also have some opportunities to participate in mini yoga sessions, enjoy a chair massage, have a Reiki session, or bask in sun in the courtyard.

Afternoon Community Class

Stephen Cope

Our last community class of the day features Stephen Cope who will lead a yoga class followed by meditation.  Leave the fest deeply rested.  More on Stephen here.

Relax with a Sacred Sound Bath

You will be lead on a powerful journey using sacred sound and an energy circle with Soundscape. Participants will journey through sonic bliss and sound as they tap into the highest vibration of love.
